LOTD #5 ............. 11-27-2010

This is a special LOTD post... I bet you're wondering why.

Well you can't have them, they're MINE! I KID! I KID!

The poses are from Katey Coppola of Glitterati. The particular poses I'm using are from her exclusive SLDD (Second Life Daily Deals) set, "Headshot 2". You can get yours on Thursday, January 28, 2010 beginning at midnight. There will only be 1000 available so make sure you line up for them! In my opinion, the best thing about the poses is they work for just about anyone! Content creators for ads, bloggers or even casual & professional picture takers because they're so versatile! You can load them into your pose stand and use them for up close pictures featuring the torso & face or panned out shots. There's standing and even a laying pose. I couldn't fit all of the poses in my picture, but if you want to see all of the options, head over to Katey's flickr page by clicking here to see the ad she created for it.

REMEMBER: These will ONLY be available ON Thursday, January 28th for that entire day. So if you don't run and get them you'll miss out. And frankly, that would be emosad.

Also, she's releasing a rework of her "Headshot" pose pack which you can see here. I've used this numerous times in ads since I'm a content creator. I often need close up shots that just turn the head in a different direction and they work perfect!

I decided to blog a preview for my new store! Opening day is 1-23-2010 at 4:00pm SLT.

This is an exciting time for me because I'll also be launching my new website: www.laciecakes.com

In honor of the grand re-opening, I'm having a sale!! I'll be marking one item in each section down to $10L! (excluding the custom section). Also, many of the vendors located in the shopping park will be having a special sale starting that day as well.

New Release Preview ^_^

LOTD #4 ............. 01-11-2010

I only have two more sections to set up in the new store build, which I plan to have finished by tonight!! But after that, I have a ton of photoshop work to make new signs, update a few ads, etc... Luckily I have some great people helping me with the artistic photos for the wall of the new store. I can't wait for you to see them, they're turning out great!

Also, my store's apart of a new group called "Bargain Hunters Paradise" operated by Violet Steamweaver. Basically store owners set an item for sale $50L or under for an entire week. Notices with the list of stores are sent out every thursday. I have the "Hope" earrings as pictured below on sale in my store for $25L until the end of the week.

In the mean time, I decided to take a small break from setting up and do another LOTD post. I didn't spend as much time as I normally do on the pics, but they're functional XD Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy it!

LOTD #3 ............. 01-09-2010

*raises glass to procrastination*
Another LOTD post as a result of not feeling like setting up more sections at the new store build. XD I find if I have to force myself to work, it won't be good quality so I'm better finding fun things to do instead... and to me, there's nothing more fun than SHOPPING! I had to check out Truth's newest release since I hadn't been there in a while. I also stopped at Candy Nail, my FAVORITE prim nail store. I love that they come in different sizes depending on the size of your hand and there's a wide variety of designs. The nail shape itself isn't too slender or too large... they're JUST right! I had put my entire look together for this post and found that I don't have enough pairs of white shoes! So, I had to make a stop at Nardcotix in search of a new pair. All of the ones I have a pretty outdated. I ended up with the glittery (surprise surprise) Absinthe shoes. The total result... a look that is rather fabulous. But then again, I am pretty partial ;)

LOTD #2 ............. 01-06-2010

I'm ALIVE! If you're wondering where the new releases for the store are, well... right now I'm working on building a new main store to be more posh, more classy and most importantly, more organized! Once I get that done, I'll start on making new jewelry. In the mean time I'm taking a break and decided to do a LOTD post. For those of you scratching your head... LOTD = Look Of The Day.

I don't consider myself a fashionista by any means. I just like to shop, a lot! I love to mix and match pieces from different stores and if I had to answer what my "look" is, it's pretty casual.

My inspiration for LOTD #2: The sad thing about SL Christmas is, after it's over, everyone wants to change their sim back to warm sandy beaches or grassy pastures... not me! I don't think I'm ready to get rid of my snow until the end of February! The look I put together is sort of a mix between the two. Warm, cozy, fluffy meets "I can't wait to show off some leg again!".... I used the House of Hucci & Glitterati "Diamond Room" as the backdrop for my photo... as you probably know, I'm a jeweler and I love all that is sparkly, shiny & glittery so I couldn't resist ^_^
