$100L Sale at Glitterati & LacieCakes discounts

LOTD #14 ............. 05-30-2010

It's been a while since I've done a LOTD post. I've put together some cute outfits but I guess I wasn't excited enough about them to spend about an hour in photoshop making a picture pretty enough that I wouldn't feel mortified sharing XD

But then it happened... Zoobong released some new shorts for both guys and girls!! As soon as I saw them I knew I had to get them! They're called "Punk" shorts and are available in six different colors (Almost Navy, Aqua, Black Smoke, Bloody Red, Green Apple & Purple Rain). I can't tell you how much they are individually because I kinda sorta had to fatpack them. Yes *had* to! The FP was $550L so yeah, you should definitely snatch yours up too!

I paired my new summery shorts with one of my favorite tank tops from Calypso Giano, some simple Flip-Flops "Freedom Flops" from Surf Couture and the necklace that hasn't left my chest attachment point since I made it with my SL daughters name "To the Moon & Back". Voila, I'm ready for warm sandy beaches.

Oh and Hello virtual world -- this is Lacie Chambers' new look with black hair! I almost forgot to mention, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVED League's new skin "Taylor" so much I had to convert to black hair. I have this pet peeve where brows and carpet should do it's best to match the drapes XD If League ever makes this skin with light brows, I'll probably be back to my old self. Until then, I'm not missing my blonde-ness. XD

LOTD #12 ............. 04-08-2010 - How I spend my Saturday nights

This is a rare glimpse folks... How I spend my Saturday nights! Actually... the look's inspired by the little light bulb that went off above my head as I was trying out the new poses I grabbed at the Pose Fair (which lasts until April 16th). Katey Coppola of Glitterati has released a pose set called "ROCKSTAR". It's available in a male or female set. I bought the female set (obviously, I hope). The purchase of this $200L set includes 5 different poses with guitar props. I felt good about my buy because it benefits the charity called "Motivation". The specific pose I'm using for the photo is "ROCKSTAR - Guitar F - 3".

As I was trying the pose, the scene I'm illustrating in the photo popped into my head. Because, yes, maybe I would dance around in my underwear belting out some of my favorite songs I'm listening to on the radio whilst trying to relieve some weekend boredom... maybe... or maybe I just wanted to show off my new skin from Tuli! yeah.... XD

The poses are from Katey Coppola of Glitterati. The particular poses I'm using are from her exclusive SLDD (Second Life Daily Deals) set, "Headshot 2". You can get yours on Thursday, January 28, 2010 beginning at midnight. There will only be 1000 available so make sure you line up for them! In my opinion, the best thing about the poses is they work for just about anyone! Content creators for ads, bloggers or even casual & professional picture takers because they're so versatile! You can load them into your pose stand and use them for up close pictures featuring the torso & face or panned out shots. There's standing and even a laying pose. I couldn't fit all of the poses in my picture, but if you want to see all of the options, head over to Katey's flickr page by clicking here to see the ad she created for it.

REMEMBER: These will ONLY be available ON Thursday, January 28th for that entire day. So if you don't run and get them you'll miss out. And frankly, that would be emosad.

Also, she's releasing a rework of her "Headshot" pose pack which you can see here. I've used this numerous times in ads since I'm a content creator. I often need close up shots that just turn the head in a different direction and they work perfect!
