LOTD #16 ............. 06-03-2010

Ok so I'm getting just a little lazy in my photoshop editing for the LOTD XD I'll admit, it's not my best pic but at the same time, I didn't want to modify the pic so much it doesn't look like the original item. Minus the pixelation because my computer isn't exactly the BEST when it comes to graphics. I'm left wondering, does anyone even read my ramblings anyway?

This LOTD was basically me going through my inventory and picking a random folder and choosing an item and basing the outfit around it. The random item chosen are the "Swan Lake Leggings" from Fishy Strawberry. I had purchased them a while ago but never got around to actually wearing them. I'm thrilled with the results of today's outfit though.

For the record, I don't consider myself a "fashionista" by any means. I also blog because it's something I consider fun and it's a great escape from building. Anything I've blogged about thus far I've purchased and don't have anything to gain by it. The only thing I have to gain is, yes, some shameless self promotion :p and really just to have fun! Maybe someone will stumble upon this SL blog and see something they like and will go out to buy it for themselves and support my fellow content creators out there! /end ramble

LOTD #15 ............. 06-02-2010

Sometimes I get bored and want to venture out and remember what it's like to be someone other than a content creator sometimes. So that means I revert back to my true self since I first stepped foot in SL back in 2006, a shopaholic. I decided to shop the lazy persons way (did I just say that? really.... REALLY?? After all I *am* sitting here on my caboose in front of my computer just clicking a few buttons...). Anyways, I paid a visit to good ol' xstreetsl! I aimlessly clicked through pages and pages of product when all of a sudden I saw something I didn't realize I *needed* to have. It's funny how that can happen. You don't know you need something until you see it? Even though I shopped "the lazy way" I still prefer to TP to main stores to see what other items the same creator offers. To what am I referring you're wondering? Why, it's the glasses I'm wearing called "Intuition"!! You can find them at a store called [Gos] Custom Eyeware. The glasses have a handy menu so you can change the frame/lens textures and do all sorts of other sparkly, shiny and cool things. My favorite part is the monogram! The side of the glasses are personalized automatically with your own avatars first and last initial! Woohoo! What a way to make a girl feel special (or egotistical, depending on how you look at it)! There's more than just eye-wear at [Gos], they also have some excellent quality sculpty furniture and gadgets. However, I tp'd there for what I had intended to get and then I decided I had to build an entire outfit around it. The rest of the store credits are listed below :)

LOTD #14 ............. 05-30-2010

It's been a while since I've done a LOTD post. I've put together some cute outfits but I guess I wasn't excited enough about them to spend about an hour in photoshop making a picture pretty enough that I wouldn't feel mortified sharing XD

But then it happened... Zoobong released some new shorts for both guys and girls!! As soon as I saw them I knew I had to get them! They're called "Punk" shorts and are available in six different colors (Almost Navy, Aqua, Black Smoke, Bloody Red, Green Apple & Purple Rain). I can't tell you how much they are individually because I kinda sorta had to fatpack them. Yes *had* to! The FP was $550L so yeah, you should definitely snatch yours up too!

I paired my new summery shorts with one of my favorite tank tops from Calypso Giano, some simple Flip-Flops "Freedom Flops" from Surf Couture and the necklace that hasn't left my chest attachment point since I made it with my SL daughters name "To the Moon & Back". Voila, I'm ready for warm sandy beaches.

Oh and Hello virtual world -- this is Lacie Chambers' new look with black hair! I almost forgot to mention, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVED League's new skin "Taylor" so much I had to convert to black hair. I have this pet peeve where brows and carpet should do it's best to match the drapes XD If League ever makes this skin with light brows, I'll probably be back to my old self. Until then, I'm not missing my blonde-ness. XD
