Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! I don't care if you don't celebrate this American holiday because in my opinion, everyone has SOMETHING to be thankful for. I know I've been fortunate enough to be blessed with a wonderful family, amazing friends & supportive customers. There's really so much that I'm thankful for but I'm sure you don't want to read a long babbling post. Just, THANK YOU so so so so so much! It's been a rough couple of years for me in real life so I've been depending on SL to stay afloat in my finances. Although the SL economy has plummeted mirroring the RL economy, I'm grateful that people like the things I have fun creating enough to help put a few extra pennies in my pocket. Without you my business would be nothing *gives warm squishy hugs*

I was inspired by the style of Kawaii on this design. As I was creating this, I realized I was putting a piece of my heart into it. Simply because it fits one of my most recent favorite quotes: "Everybody wants happiness, nobody wants pain, but you can't have a rainbow without a little rain". Sometimes things happen in our lives that will cause sadness, hurt or anger and often times we ask "why?". In my opinion, if it weren't for the difficult times we go through, we wouldn't know how to appreciate the good things that come to us. So, in my own little way this design represents our human struggle to seek happiness. Price: $249L.
Enough of my philosophical babbling, I'm sure you're tired of reading all the text ( I admit, I'd rather just look at pictures myself).

"Zora" is the LacieCakes new release to be launched upon the opening of the Jewelry Fair 2010. This set includes a necklace and earrings with a dramatic design that includes a mix of dark and princess. The design features a skull with a crown adorned with jewels, several layers of chains, accent beads & fleur de lis. This item also includes the *LC* Evolve jewelry HUD system for color/gem change, metal change & bling on/off to coordinate with any outfit or costume! The price is $300L for the set and 50% profits are being donated to the Oxfam charity.

There will be a charity auction, 50% of the auction sale will go to The Samaritans (www.samaritans.org). The Samaritans run a 24 hour center for suicidal people or people in emotional crisis to contact, via phone or email run by trained unpaid volunteers. Reg charity number: 219432.
The following is a photo of the LacieCakes limited edition (only 5 will exist in SL) couture auction item. When the event starts be sure to get your bid in! Right click and pay the vendor and if you're outbid, you're automatically refunded.
In addition to the couture item, there's also a "prêt-à-porter" simplified version available for sale in unlimited quantities for $349L (pic below).

LOTD #17 ............. 09-15-2010
Ooooooh! Creepy scary basement! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!
I haven't done a LOTD post in a while and this one was done by accident. A certain wifey & kiddo MADE me put on a pretty dress "so they didn't feel weird" while we were hanging out last night :p The dress I'm wearing is from Armidi and as far as I'm aware, no longer available :( BUT! The good news is, you can still get everything else!
I really wanted to point out the ring. It was only $25L in the LacieCakes brand new Gacha Machine. There are 10 different color variations possible, one of which is the rare color/gem/metal change version. The great thing is they all include an attachment that animates your avatar in the "showing off my bling" arm extended pose (you know what I'm talking about, right?) AND they're transferable so you can trade or gift them. They're called "My Wifey" rings and are just an overall fun piece of bling to wear.
Since I was dressed up as pretty as a princess, I HAD to wear Truth's new hair "Jersey" - the streaked version so I could match my hair with my outfit. I love that it has a tiara fit for a princess (that's SO me)!

What: A gathering of SL designers from across the grid of all styles and genres, coming together for two weeks of fund raising to raise funds to go towards the American Brain Tumor Association to aide in the awareness, research and aiding those that suffer from brain tumors/cancer.
